How so? What is so different in the UI of GNOME and KDE? > design of that app will be the exact opposite of what it currently is, > and the exact opposite of everything else in KDE, and you will be > laughed out of the room. I've yet to see much variation in GUIs, form openlook, motif/CDE, GNOME, or KDE. Most of the changes are in the look of the widgets, but not enough difference in most case to be an issue, they are theme-able now, no I could change the look of most widgets. In fact that's one of the things BlueCurve does. > Any Linux desktop that will be acceptable in terms of minimal > standard that is opposite of everything else in use on Red Hat Linux > (Motif, KDE, Java, and Windows apps under Wine). I still don't see where GNOME, 1 or 2, is "opposite" of anything. Can you point me to some papers/articles that discuss this in more detail? -Thomas
