I am attaching the output of dmesg in a text file. I don't know what to
make of it, but will try to look it over more carefully after I send
this.

No, I can unmount/mount it as long as I don't remove the card.  The
dmesg output file is the result of unmounting, removing and trying to
mount it again - see the first few lines of the file.
