I did not understand "opposite" either, but I'm guessing he means "opposing" as
in "different", different standards, different way of doing things...

If I replace the word "opposite" with "different", then I understand his mail
better.

BTW, this is open source (give or take...), any one (RH) can skin an app to rip the
connection between the app and its authors and/or its desktop environment. It sucks
for the authors and the desktop enviorn's authors that their work comes
out "anonymous" in an RH distribution, but that's the just the way it is. Perhaps
it is a form of evolution, who knows. Not even my .02, just rambling.
