RE: smart media changing problem

Permissions on /dev/hd* and /dev/sd* do not allow users to either read or
write. I think that's why  eject does not work for me. Will it be a security
compromise to give anyone read access to block devices?

Try to run eject command as root. For some reason I get same error every
time I try to eject cdrom as non-root user. BTW, any ideas why? Worth
bugzilla?
