   I've found that Alt-F4 usually works on apps where the default "Close
Window" is Alt-W and the default "Close All Windows" is Alt-Q.  Other
than that, Alt-F4 can be a bit hit-and-miss like everything else. :(

   But, yes, it would be nice if at least apps within the same desktop
environment behaved the same across all themes and designs (ie, Gnome2
uses Alt-* to do stuff and/or KDE uses Ctrl-* to do stuff).

   I dunno.  I'm a bit young to have used OS/2.  I was still in
elementary school when Win3.0 came out. :)
