Yeah, but there were more changes made than that.  Read the KDE 
archives, the limbo/null archives, and some of the articles on the linux 
news sites.  It's all there in gory detail.

Unifying the desktops solves some problems and creates others.  IMO, 
this is just another example of the aftermath from real world 
engineering decision.  Some are happy, others are mad, and most can't 
see what all the fuss is about.

Good luck to Bero.  He's a dedicated developer and I'm sure he'll be 
able to get another position to pursue his passion.
