now is this a problem with what gstalker is doing...or gnome?  I bet I
could write a poorly coded KDE application that did something extremely
stupid and messed up how KDE operated.  Since gstalker isn't a Redhat
package It's hard to blame Redhat for the trouble it causes....and to a
lesser extent to blame the core gnome developers since gstalker is
obviously doing something horribly broken and unexpected.  Its not even
listed in gnome.org software map for gosh sakes.

What would you have gnome do to fix this problem?  Its obviously a
problem with gstalker...but what sort of logic would you add that would
allow the gnome desktop to know that the 70 Megs were not really needed
to be read?
