Wow. I mean, wow, mom, wow. So a RedHat OS that I can use without 
upgrading for 3 years (I know it's five, and that's good, but let's just 
talk about 3, to give you the benefit of the doubt) is going to cost me 
$1050. A copy of Windows 2000 Server with 10 CAL's is going to cost me 
just the same, and only get better with time. (From a *purely* initial 
cost basis.) And yes, for the desparate, one could rebuild the source 
RPMS's from the update site, but that's another issue.

What I'll note here is that RedHat's enterprise updater service that you 
can bring in-house starts at $2500 and adds something like $100 per 
client. I just installed Microsoft's own version of just such a product 
for *free*. (Will it stay that way? Who knows.)

I guess what I'm saying here is:

MICROSOFT IS BECOMING THE REDHAT OF THE WINDOWS WORLD!
