error messages

When my system boots it gives me this error messages
and stops.
stting default font lactaryrehost
sun16:/bin/unicode_start:/bin/unicode_start: Too many
open files in the system.
could'nt find matching files in the system LABEL= /

***An error occured during the file system check
###Dropping you to a shell
### the system will reboot.

what do i do to revive my stsem since i don't want to
reload the software,because much effort had been put 
into it,and would like to learn how ti revive the
system without reloading.
