Yeah, odd. All of our subscriptions used to be called:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server (Academic Edition)

and came with Management entitlements, and now they're called

RHEL AS Academic Edition Serviced System

and still come with Management entitlements. I don't know if the name
change makes a difference. We haven't ever made any reference to extra
entitlements other than the Management entitlement (this is where words like
"entitlement", "subscription" and "provision" need to be used in the RedHat
definition only) when we do our purchases. Nor to extra (child) channel
access and we _used_ to have access to the non-Beta child channel for
Application Server.

I've yet to find any documentation on which (child) channels are extra to
pay for and which come 'free' as part of having a Management entitlement.

Currently I have:

     * Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS (v. 3 for x86)
           o RHEL AS (v. 3 for x86) Hardware Certification
---> o Red Hat Application Server Beta (AS for i386) <---
o Red Hat Developer Suite (for AS x86) Beta
o Red Hat Developer Suite 1.0 (for AS x86)
o Red Hat Developer Suite 2.0 (AS for i386)
o Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS (v. 3 for x86) Beta
o Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS (v. 3 for x86) Extras
o Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS (v. 3 for x86) Extras Beta
o Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS (v. 3 for x86) Fastrack
o Red Hat Network Tools for RHEL 3 AS (i386)

only these for my RHEL3 AS servers (note the highlighted entry is "Beta").
What do you have in addition other than (what I assume will be)

o Red Hat Application Server 1.0 (AS for i386) ?

As far as I can tell the only extra _entitlement_ you can have is
Provisioning...

Additionally (from https://rhn.redhat.com/rhn/systems/SystemEntitlements.do):

"Please note that you will need to purchase a Red Hat Enterprise Linux
subscription for additional update base entitlements."

Is it me or does that not even make sense?

I've contacted RedHat Support and opened a ticket about this. If there are
no complaints to me directly (rather than to the list, guys) I'll post
further information/a resolution as it occurs.
