RE: Network Interface Card

Exactly my point - the OP asked if there was a way to display how many
cards are inside the server without physical inspection. I don't think
there is (at least for Proliant hardware) because they can be disabled
from BIOS and will not be seen by the OS.

Of course, but if they've been disabled in the BIOS the only way you can
see them is to check the BIOS, which usually requires at least being at
the console. If you could do that, you could look at the back of the
machine and count the RJ45 connectors!
