Hi, I am running RHEL AS 3 update 4 on a HP Proliant DL380 G4. Kernel version Linux 2.4.21-27.ELsmp #1 I noticed the crond process was not running any more. I checked the status of crond by typing:- /etc/init.d/crond status crond dead but pid file exist Can anyone tell me what the above message means and why did crond process stop running and what I can check to see what happened to crond process? I have managed to stop and start crond process fine. -- Taroon-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/taroon-list
