If you look at what other distributions/packagers are converging too regarding python module packages, both recommendations fit into that. adns-python -> python-adns pybsddb -> python-bsddb3 pychm -> python-chm pycrypto -> python-crypto pygame -> python-game Imaging -> python-imaging Numeric -> python-numeric egenix-mx-base -> python-mx-base pysqlite -> python-sqlite Of course python applications keep their original name.
