At RPMFind, you can see there may be a lot of deviation because those RPMS could have been repackages many times by a variety of people modifying the heck out of them (Ximian as an example). Another example is a program called galeon (that another list member pointed me to). If you go to ftp.sourceforge.net /pub/sourceforge/galeon/, you will notice this person uses multiple hyphen deliminators in the build. This is a no-no, and makes it very difficult to parse. I had to put a special loop in the update subroutine to look for packages that do this, and include the extra fields into the build. (RPM seems to ignore them but GRAB can not because I rebuild the package name later). Once again, scary area to muck in. But lets talk about this further... As long as GRAB does not start to look like a front end for RPMFind, I am OK with this (given the right safety nets for the newbies). BTW, I still want a new name for this option.
