yes, anacron sounds like the one i want! thanks, and as a side note, at first this sounds complicated to someone who hasnt seen a command propmt before, but it is sooooo much easier than downloading ONE package at a time, (slowly), rebooting, waiting 10 minutes for the system to come up, and repeating that process 5-6 times, weekly! you know what i'm talking about. what a waste of time that was. m On Fri, May 31, 2002 at 09:55:17AM -0700, Greg Kurtzer wrote: > Sorry for the late responce... > > GRAB can run automatically via cron and anacron.
