i18n is pretty obscure, but yes, the rpm i18n is even 'scurer. :-)

Maybe on the "server side", maybe not. The tag retrieval is by package name
only, not full name-version-release. That means that the Red Hat specspo
package could be used even for a non-redhat distro. It's not like
any of the Summary/Group/Description info is changing all that fast,
what's needed is a hint about package contents, not the very latest
info, most of the time. Even the very latest "stuff" is often wrong
and/or misleading until someone -- other than a developer -- pays attention.
