I have 2 SparcStation 2's with RH6.2. Both have been updated with XFree86-3.3.6-29. When I start X I get the following on one machine received SIGPIPE signal: exiting, but X does start and it loads the windows manager. On both machines, as soon as I move the mouse, the screen freezes and I get about a 1" white border. I have to press alt-F1 to get back to the console. The console has a message that say Fatal server error:

sunMouseEnqueueEvent: unrecognized id

xinit: connection to X server lost.

The problem seemed to pop up after updating X. Both machines have optical mice if that makes a difference. This has happened in the past, and I would do setup and configure the mouse again. That has not worked. I also tried re-running Xconfigurator, and that did not help. Something I think is odd, is that I have the same software installed on 2 Ultra 1s, and they both work find. Both of the Ultra's have mechanical mice.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
