RES: Sun Fire 880 System

	Thanks.
	Is there another possibility to use linux in this box (eg another dist.)?
	I'd like to migrate because I've a big project (using Oracle 8i) to do, on
a short period, but
      the support/dba team don't have any experience with solaris, however
they know linux.
	This box has two processors, 4Gb RAM memory, 6 FCAL disks.
	I could have one some hope?

UltraSPARC III is not supported by Redhat 6.2, even less supported is V880.

But why do you need Linux here? SMP in kernel 2.2.x is by far worse than
Solaris and even 2.4 cannot hang with Sol8. I suppose you have more than 2
cpus in this box...
