I use up2date to install new kernel today.

I have configured lilo as the boot loader.

During the install phase of the kernel update, up2date hangs with
these error messages visible in the terminal window from which I called
up2date:
-----------------

raise LiloConfError("test install of lilo failed")
up2date_client.lilocfg.LiloConfError: Error installing lilo.conf The
message was:
test install of lilo failed
-------------------

The same happened a few days ago with the previous kernel update.

I know how to fix this manually:
the required files are present in /boot
the required changes are also present in /etc/lilo.conf
I have to edit lilo.conf to let the lable 'linux' point to the new
kernel, and then run /sbin/lilo before I reboot.

I just wanted to let you know that these problems exist.
