Probabaly makes sense for users making the most of multilib releases... If so, then how do you want to specify a specific arch should be installed? up2date --arch i386 foobar (most straightforward codewise, no ambiguity with weird package names) up2date foobar.i386 (possibly more flexible, might make more sence to users [but then it might confuse them as well], but not a reliably parseable format) up2date foobar@i386 (debian way as best I can tell, possibly annoying shell escaping issues) I'm leaning towards the first, since it's probabaly the smallest code change at this point. (granted, not the best reason for picking a ui, but alas...) How bout for the gui? two lists? plain list with each multiarch package listed N times? tree with nodes for name and subnodes for each arch? plain list with each version listed once but one select box for "prefered arch" and one for whatever the others are?
