kickstart vs. USB keyboard

Hello... I was doing some taroon kickstart installs on some new Dell 1750s. The Dells have very convenient video and USB connectors on the front of the servers. (the older 2650s also have a PS/2). The redhat installer does work with a USB keyboard once it starts. But neither grub nor syslinux (to type text ks=floppy) recognize it. Is this something that has an easy fix or works when booting from CD?
