I wonder if the normal NUN shouldn't also be consistent with those three,
also without a "roof".
After all, shouldn't the NUN-SOFIT look like a "unfolded at the bottom"
version of the NUN, just like you can see for PE, TSADI and KAF?

But then again, looking at a random calendar on my desk printed in sans-serif
font, it appears that the nun is not consistent with the others: yod, vav and
nun-sofit don't have roofs, but nun does.

It's a bit scary that 25 years after first learning to read, I suddenly
realize that I'm actually unsure what the Hebrew letters should look like :)
