I would leave the YUD and NUN-SOFIT as-is, straighten out the VAV. The 
reasoning is as follows:

This is a sans-serif font. The bend at the top of the NUN is not a serif 
but balances the "foot" of the NUN. The bend at the top of the NUN-SOFIT 
differentiates the glyph from the VAV but retains an identifying 
similarity with the NUN. Neither the YUD nor the VAV need the bend.

However - You also have to take into account the appearance of the 
equivalent fonts for which this font will substitute and you have to 
recalculate the metrics for any glyphs that you change, and you have to 
take into account what this change will do to the installed document base 
that already uses the font. We might be better off either not touching the 
font or touching it and giving it a new name. If you are already thinking 
about adding diacritics, then I think that we should give the font a new 
name anyway, and then other changes won't be an issue.
