Hi Sivan,
I believe that Dov's intent is to use his heuristic for the initial=20
placement and then do the fine tuning by hand, and not to try to do=20
automatic placement. This is from off-list discussions about a month ago.

I thank you for volunteering to help, but I think that VOLT is probably=20
not the tool for us, since Dov, Maxim and I are in the FOSS camp and AFAI=
K=20
the Culmus fonts have been maintained with FOSS tools so far. If you coul=
d=20
help Dov with FontForge that would be great.
