Can't get a nic to hook-up. > > Any ideas? are all those pcmcia NICs? :) I haven't tried sentinix with pcmcia hardware at all, that's way down on my priority list since sentinix is a server distro and should primarily function on PCI NICs. But the pcmcia modules are there however. It was a few years ago since I last installed Slackware 6 or 7 on a laptop, so I don't remember the specifics. Wait... that laptop is still plugged into the wall, I'll boot it up.... ;) wow linux 2.2.19... "pcmcia_core" and "pcnet_cs" (it's a NE2000 compat 10mbit card) are the one's running on that one. It's running the "cardmgr", don't really know what it does other than load/unload modules if the card is removed/inserted.
