Me write proprietary software??? Just to make things clear: I am never going
to write proprietary software!

sxpkg will be under GNU GPL, as all other software I write.
I am quite busy at the moment, with COMDEX Scandinavia, but I'll take the time
to write this...

Why not use apt from Debian? I've been looking at apt and some other package
tools, and I decide to write my own simply because I believe it'll save me
more time than customizing e.g. apt (which is written in Perl, and I'm not
high on Perl... but that's just one reason).

I want another approach, not claiming to be better or anything, just to
fullfill two goals:
	1) make the compilation, installation and package-making process totally
automated (we need this in order to, in the future, focus on securing
sentinix and making better interfaces and better interoperability).
	2) a simple shell-script-written (bash) package tool, starting with only two
features; install package(s) and remove package(s). This tool should "plug
into" the compilation process with ease.

The Makefiles and install scripts in the SENTINIX Source Tree (also GPL) use a
program named installwatch (also GPL, (c) Pancrazio `Ezio' de Mauro).
installwatch generates log files of system calls very efficiently.
sxpkg will create binary packages out of these log files, be able to install
these binary packages and be able to remove binary packages.

The Source Tree is in CVS, located at
http://developer.berlios.de/projects/sentinix/.
