Morten,

   I've decided that the best solution is to pull an ethernet cable through
the walls and across the attic and terminate it in outlet boxes with RJ-45
outlets. Then I'll unplug the WAP and put it on a shelf.

   It's either that or run the WAP without WPA enabled, using the MAC address
of the portables. Cable is a better long-term solution.
