   I don't see eth0 in the kernel routing table ('netstat -rn') on my Dell or
other systems that had no wireless connectivity issues when no ethernet
cable was attached. For some reason that I have not found, the new Sony Vaio
will not get past a wireless access point on the wlan0 interface if eth0
remains in the table. As soon as root brings down eth0 packets move over
wlan0. It's probably something I missed when installing
Slackware-13.37/x86_64 on this new portable last December.
