Kewl! So, how did that go for you? I think you meant the 3rd of October,
since it appears that you posted the message on 28sep2kxii ;) Is that
correct?

If you're like me you didn't open it, opting instead to place it
prominently on a display where everyone who visits can see, and then
simply downloading via torrent or making your own iso by maintaining a
mirror for everyday use - coz the shrinkwrapped product has intrinsic
collectors value IMO :)

Somewhere in my sea container, where my living computer museum is packed
away, I have the Morse Telecommunication's boxed set of Slackware from a
few years ago. Although that was a bit of a catastrophe for Pat, I
think, it is a unique example of early Linux merchandising that is worth
noting and collecting.

I can't even remember which version of Slackware that was, but it wasn't
a very early one as far as versions go, I had decided even back then
that this was a way for me to contribute support for his efforts.
