Why not use the jdk12 from Slackbuilds? The JDK is actually at 13 now, so simply
change the 'version' number in the jdk12.SlackBuild shell script, do an
EXPLOIT_ME=YES ./jdk12.SlackBuild (in case you use Seamonkey, as I do), then 
'upgradepkg', and you should be good to go...hopefully.
