Something very strange is happening. I re-installed 15.0 but now while I can add me as a user I cannot log in as that user. Before the laptop got hung up with an executable rc.ntpd (my error somewhere in setting up the host), there was no problem using useradd. I did find that entering my password (using the -p option) to useradd was ineffective, but having root run passwd for my username fixed the problem. Now it doesn't. When I try to log in I'm told the login is incorrect. I've no idea where the problem's source is, and I've not before had this issue on any host in the 19 years I've been running Slackware. Help's needed. Rich -- slackware mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/slackware
