Thanks for this hint, but why is it possible to load the modules manualy and 
not in the auto mode? The routine should be the same. There could be 
the following reasons

a) The order of loading the modules is different (autoprobe?).
b) The manual mode uses modprobe and loads some more modules needed.
c) The time between two module loads???
d) The kernel does not "hang up", but the further install process has a 
    problem.

Yes, theese reasons does not explain, why the updated modules are running ;-)
But on the other way: There is also no explanation why the modules are working
in the manual mode and not in the auto mode, if only the version should be the
only diffence...

Yes maybe an improofed module could have a better timing stability (a,b).
