OK, how do I install it ?

Hello, everyone.

I have a Digital Alphaserver 1000 4/200 sitting here in the shop that I
would like to put SuSE 8.1 onto.  I was going to put 7.1 on it a few
months ago, but never got around to it.

However, I come from an Intel background, and I'm having some trouble
getting the thing to boot from the CD.  I went through the boot menu
that comes up and added an entry for booting from the CD-Rom drive, but
I don't think I got it right.  Does anyone have any hints about how I
can get this venerable machine up and kicking ?  Or a pointer to a HOWTO
that will lead me thorugh it ?
