Sweet !  It's connected to the ftp server right now.

It seems the trick is to switch it from the NT console to the Unix
console which gave me the prompt described below.  Had to load the
DAC960 and DE500 modules manually, but that was pretty easy.

I've never done an FTP install before.  NFS, but never FTP.  What an
education this is turning out to be.

Hi Stuart,

short form:

you should find yourself in the so called SRM console after poweing
on.
This leads you to a ">>>"

Then say

sh dev

look up your CD-ROM (sometimes dka0)

and then say

boot dka0
     ---
      +--> substitute with your CD device name

That should bring you up to the aboot prompt. In most cases you can
say

0 (zero)

and then you should see the SuSE install program.
