I would like to thank all of you that have seen so much trouble to
port suse 8.1 to axp. I used to use RedHat but after they decided to
stop axp porting I moved to debian. Debian is a nice stable system but
it totally lacks the newest software ( Yes, I know the debian policy )
what I need. ( like GNOME2 etc )

I downloaded and installed the 2.0.40-0 kernel build by Stefan and it
runs fast and nice on my UP1100 ( nautilus, 600 Mhz )

It is so nice to enjoy the KDE / GNOME with my favirite apps from x86
world like mozilla.

I have two other axp boxes ( PC164 433 Mhz and LX164 533 Mhz ), they
will be upgraded as soon as I have the time to do it.

I am running SuSE 8.2 pro on my x86 laptop and enjoying it much ! Very
nice distro !

Thanks again and continue the same way !

You make me a happy alpha owner again :)

Joni

ps. Have anybody tried to byild most recent mozilla on alpha ( like
1.3.1 ? ??
