System not rebooting on 7.1

I try to issue the command "reboot" from consile..
And it shuts down everything but stops at "rebooting the system"
Why?

alpha-1:~ # file /sbin/reboot
/sbin/reboot: symbolic link to halt

alpha-1:~ # file /sbin/halt
/sbin/halt: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, Alpha (unofficial), version 1, 
dynamically linked (uses shared libs), stripped

Ok.. So reboot calls halt.. Fine!
But how do i get reboot to reboot?
