Is a DAC i960 PD with firmware 2.73 supported in 8.1?

Hi all, I'm new to the list so sorry if this question has been answered
before, I didn't see it in the archives.

I recently dusted off my Alpha Server 2100 4/275 which has two DEC
(Mylex) DAC i960 PD RAID controllers, and was curious if this new
release has built in support for controllers running firmware 2.73?  I
know that Dandelion Digital released a driver for the 2.4.12 kernel that
fully supported the older firmware cards, but I must admit that I suck
at compiling kernels.  :-)  Anyway, I thought I would check while I
waited for 8.1 to finish downloading.  If the driver isn't included,
does anyone have any suggestions, besides RTFM?  :-)

BTW: Thanks for releasing a new version for the Alpha.  It has been a
while since I first ripped open my 7.1 axp box and with every x86 / ppc
upgrade since 7.3 / 7.1 I have been looking for an axp update.  Glad to
see good things do come to those that wait...
