and it works ;-)

Hi!
I finally finished installing my Alphaserver 1000 4/233 ...
the following way works fine:
- booting via SRM from CD
- Installing direct from ftp.gwdg.de (a very fast mirror in the DFN)
- partitioning, creating filesystem and mouting in the console (yast
  seems to be buggy) using BSD-Bootlabel!
- installing a minimal system from the internet (about 300 MB)
- rebooting via cd and "booting installed system"
- installing aboot
- mounting my local suse.com (which wasn't working via ftp and http)
  mirror via smb in my local filesys and installing the whole system
  (apache, mysql,...)

wow! and now? the server is running !!! ;-))

my last "problem" ... aboot has got a problem booting via
"boot vmlinuz root=/dev/sda4" when sda4 is BSD partion D (partion C
doesn't exist) and is formated as reiserfs! what to do? using the rescue
system to make sda4 an uncomfortable ext2 partition?
