First of all you need the ip-address of a SuSE ftp mirror which actually
includes the alpha files - not all of them do.

Start by checking the official SuSE mirror lists:

http://www.suse.de/en/private/download/ftp/int_mirrors.html
http://www.suse.de/en/private/download/ftp/germ_mirrors.html

When you've selected a mirror, try surfing it to find the path to the alpha
bits. E.g.: Select  ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse . You'll quickly
discover the alpha files at

ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/axp/supplementary/8.1

I.e. use the ip of ftp.gwdg.de -> 134.76.11.100 and

/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/axp/supplementary/8.1

as the path.

Please remember to make a quick check which mirror which actually has some
bandwidth to YOUR part in the world... In my case, I often find gwdg.de being
quite loaded and I try to check first before downloading anything.
