RE: FTP-installation on XL 266 - from where?

Hmm...  If I choose "Show loaded modules" it reports the "NCR 53c7, 8xx =
(old
driver)" as
being loaded. All the kernel-messages indicates that the SCSI-controller
actually is the
NCR-chip. Still, YaST says: "No hard disks found! Check your hardware", =
and
then it
hungs in "Evaluating Package Selection" for some 5-10 minutes before it
dumps me
back to the main menu of "Linuxrc v. 1.4"

Should I unload the NCR-module, and what am I supposed to load instead?

You have to load the appropriate driver for the controller on which your
hd's reside. This should be done in the first setup screen (Main Menu) =
under
Kernel modules (hardware drivers).
