First , you need to make sure your scsi chain is OK , terminated
at both ends , observing max cable lenght.
You also need to make sure the scsi controllers on both systems do NOT
use the same scsi id. Sounds like this is your problem.

However , I'm not sure if you can share a disk this way. I think you can
only have access to a disk from 1 of the systems. Maybe you can mount
different
partitions from 1 disk on different hosts, but I'm not sure.
You certainly cannot share a filesystem this way , once you mount it from
one system
you don't want another system to access it as well.

These setups are typically used to do failover without rewiring.
