Have you enabled folder references for your mail file? You can see that
flag via the Domino Administrator, Files tab and then File Properties:

If not enabled, you can not access this database over IMAP. To enable the
folder references, issue following command on the server console:

load convert -m mail\mai.nsf

Just replace 'mail\mai.nsf' with your mail file name on the server. This is
not a Linux specific issue!
