RE: Domino R5.0.11 on SuSE 8.0 freezes

Hi,

Thanx. Yesterday I started the server in command line mode (after init 3), and switched to the screen (alt F10) with the message console.
This morning it was dead of course. The screen said (apart from all the hex stuff:)

Process Swapper
Kernel Panic: Aiee killing interrupt handler
In interrupt handler - not syncing
----
and all the leds on the keyboard were blinking.

Yesterday evening I had a briljant idea (so I thought). I looked in Google for "linux cable select", for that is the way the drives are talking. And I found some issues about freezing.
So I changed the dipswitches to the more standard master-slave setting. I logged in as Notes-user.
Freeze...

So reinstalling with only EXT3 will be the next try.

you´re right, it can also run on a normal distribution, but there is
nothing tested so far, so that any complications can be.

As Thomas said in a later Thread, there is a known incompatibility
between ReiserFS and Domino (nobody knows correctly why).

With Ext3, the problems you have currently should not occur.

For running services type "ps ax" than you can see all what´s running.
It seems that LDAP is not installed if you can´t find anything about.
