You do not need an other one if you installed domino. But: I myself install sendmail on all domino servers. Regardless I am not going to use it. Domino doesn't deliver software to send mail from UNIX accounts thus mail -s Test root@localhost fails. Sendmail jumps into this. Now I am able to use commands like the above on my Domino server. Domino delivers the mail. Only quirk: I have to use a Notes Client to read root mails... But if you enable pop or IMAP on your domino server you'll overcome this too. You only have to make sure sendmail is configured to only send mail, not listening on port 25 or you will find domino not being able to work as a SMTP MTA -- Thomas
