Not quite true. I have a couple of servers running with Domino and
sendmail one the same box. I use service interfaces (eth0:0) with
sendmail being the internet facing MTA (for security(!) and amavis
scanning). Sendmail handles all smtp traffic in and out of the box. It
passes emails on to Domino once they have been scanned, and receives
mail from domino and scans it before sending it out into the big wide
world...

Yeah that's true, although domino can use smtp between servers,
therefore you could use sendmail as a kind of 'hub' to connect
multiple domino servers.  Don't know why you'd need to though.
