hi all..
.. does nobody have a solution for the known problem ?
If not known ...
System : SuSE Linux 7.2 , Kernel 2.4.4-4GB
Standard IDE System with about 4 GB free
64 MB RAM
PIII 450 MHz
Minimal-System
no jdk's installed
Domino : Lotus Domino 5.0.8 - 5.0.9a ( tested )
( standard installation )
Setup-Problems : JVM ( JavaVirtualMachine ) will produce a error and will
not start the http-server for setup
Workaround :
Have replaced the current JVM-files with one of IBM ( V 1.3
and V 1.1.8 tested ). After this
the HTTP-Server for Setup will start correct and you can
configure your Domino Server.
Main-Problem : After finished the setup... Start the HTTP-Server and
try to unload the server again... will not work. You have to kill all
domino / server processes of the domino to stop it ... even
so if the http-server is started and you try to do a restart or
end the domino.
----------------------------------
I've tried some other kernels from 2.2.5 to 2.2.19 and 2.4 to 2.4.10 but
didn't work really. With the 2.2.5 kernel I noticed that the http-server
didn't
crash but did get the message that some users still working ... but there
wasn't anybody on the server. To be sure I've droped all connections and
all users from domino ... still the same phenonemon...
I also tried to deinstall all java-stuff from the machine ... deinstalled
the domino ( just deleted ) ... and reinstalled the domino ... again the
problems with
the Setup so I had to reinstall IBM JVMs 1.3 ... :-((
Hope anybody can help me ...
... regards,
Bruno Leonhardt
