Hi Ingo Börnig,
Thank's a lot for the professional tip.
Indeed the firewall setting of our provider (ICMP was blocked completely)
seems to be the point. After the firewall setting was changed to NOT filter
ICMP protocol of type 3 the connection to the Domino server seems to work.
Great tip, really!

We

Please remember that this is just the symptom and not the solution. All
of this confusion is just caused by braindead firewall rules! Please
don't block icmp type 3 (fragmentation needed) on both firewalls and
everything works.
