the issue here is not network. there are several domino servers in that 
domain, and all the rest are acting normaly.
this is the only one that runs Linux though.. all the rest are windows 
based.
also. this is the only machine that has a gigabyte interface. after 
investigating the problem with IBM for almost a month
now, we still couldnt determine whats the cause.
being far from a lotus guru, i was under the assumption that there may 
be a way to control the number of connections
per user on the server side.
