SLES8 and R5 with domrun: domino.input not working?

Hi there,

I recently migrated a Domino R5 Server (5.0.10) from SLES7 to SLES8 SP3. I 
installed the domrun 2.2.6 (the latest?). Everything works fine, but:
the server needs to have the password of the server-ID at atartup. Ever 
since, I edited the domino.input file and was done. Now on the new server, 
nothing happens.
I also tried the 'echo "show users" >>/var/log/notes/domino.input' 
procedure, but to no avail. On the SLES7-system, both methods do work.

Has anybody a hint for me?
