Thanks Markus for your background information!

As I said in my last mail: only members of the group wheel are allowed
to make "su -" on my system. So I put the user root into the group
"wheel" and after that, everything was working.

I don't know, if this might be a security issue, but I can't imagine.

Keith, try to do a "su -" from the shell. From the time on, the command
is executed without a prompt, fou4s will work for you. Check also the
wheel group!
